  • Monitor upcoming bills and detect low balances.
  • Notify you about eligible bill coverage opportunities.

Welcome to Hutsy! We’re here to help you stay on top of your bills — no overdrafts, no stress.

🔒 Who Can Use Hutsy
  • Be 18 or older
  • Live in Canada or the U.S.
  • Agree to these terms and use Hutsy responsibly
💼 What Hutsy Does
  • Track and manage recurring bills
  • Get bills covered when your bank balance is too low
  • Avoid overdraft fees, credit damage, and late charges
  • Cancel unwanted subscriptions
  • Receive smart payment alerts

⚠️ Important: Hutsy doesn’t issue loans — we pay your recurring bills directly (like internet, utilities, insurance), then collect repayment when you get paid.

💳 Fees
  • $120/year membership
  • 5% service fee on bills we pay for you
  • We only charge when you have funds available in your connected account
  • Fees are non-refundable
📝 Membership Activation & Billing
  • When you sign up, your membership begins immediately
  • If you don’t have funds in your account at the time, we’ll wait to charge you until funds are available
  • Even if you pause your subscription before funds arrive, the original subscription remains active and billing will still occur when balance is available
  • You can cancel anytime, but that will apply to future billing periods only
✅ To Stay Eligible for Coverage
  • Have recurring income
  • Keep your bank connected via Plaid
  • Use a payment card that matches your bank
  • Keep your membership active and account in good standing
🚫 Why Coverage May Be Declined
  • No recurring deposits are found
  • Your saved card doesn’t match your bank
  • Your Hutsy subscription is inactive
  • Your bill can’t be paid by credit card
  • Your login to the biller fails or OTP blocks the payment
  • The bill exceeds your current coverage limit
  • You haven’t repaid a previous bill
  • Your account is paused, suspended, or flagged
🔁 Cancellations & Refunds
  • Cancel anytime in the app:
    Settings → Membership → Cancel Membership
  • You’ll stay active until the end of your current billing period
  • We won’t charge you again after cancellation
  • Refunds are not provided unless required by law
⛔ Termination
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
    • Violate these Terms
    • Engage in fraudulent or abusive activity
    • Fail to repay any Hutsy-covered amounts
⚠️ Limitation of Liability
  • Hutsy is not liable for:
    • Missed or late payments not caused by our platform
    • Issues with banks, Stripe, Plaid, or other 3rd-party services
    • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our maximum liability is limited to fees paid by you in the past 12 months

We take your privacy seriously. Your personal and financial data is protected and handled according to our Privacy Policy.

📝 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Hutsy means you agree to any updated terms.
